PHYSICAL SYMPTOMS - LUNGS
Asthma (pronounced Azma) is disease which causes your airways or bronchial tubes to constrict, making it hard for you to breathe in and particularly to breathe out. An attack can be started by many irritants, with cat and dog hair allergy a common trigger. Treatment includes avoiding anything which can trigger an attack and using inhaled drugs to; open the airways e.g. beta agonists and; calm the allergic response e.g. beclomethasone. Asthma cannot be cured, but most people with asthma can control it so that they have few and infrequent symptoms and can live active lives.
